Watch Fields' Championship Buzzer-Beater

Norcom senior point guard Travis Fields had one of the shots for the ages as he lifted the Greyhounds, who trailed by as many as seven points in the fourth quarter, to a thrilling 67-65 overtime win over Hopewell in the 3A State Championship game on Saturday night at VCU in Richmond.

For Norcom, it was their third consecutive State Championship. They won the previous two titles at the Group 4A level. It also was their fifth state title in seven years and extended the program's playoff winning streak to 21 games.

Watch the game-tying free-throws from Fields'teammate, sophomore Darien Allison, then his improbable steal and buzzer-beater below through the NFHS Network as Andy Hayes, Coach Ed Young and Matt Hatfield had the call...

On Monday, Fields announced he will play his College Basketball at nearby Old Dominion University in Norfolk.

The last Norcom player to give a pledge to the Monarchs was wing Ben Finney, a four-year starter that scored 1211 career points at ODU.
